The Slimline Mini Hot Plate has a very small footprint, making it ideal for use at the microtome. It is primarily used to remove stubborn wrinkles from tissue sections, and re-orientating embedded tissue. It may also be used in microbiology for heat fixing bacterial smears. The hot plate features a matte black heated surface to provide a visual contrast for tissue sections.
