Histosette® Biopsy Cassettes are optimized for use with cassette labeling instruments and are specially designed to securely hold biopsy specimens during embedding, processing, and long-term storage. For added flexibility in automated workflows, the cassette bases and covers are packaged separately, allowing efficient loading and handling in labeling systems.
The unobstructed anterior writing surface is angled at 45°, improving compatibility with select cassette labeling instruments and ensuring clear, reliable identification. Precision flow-through slots with 1 mm square openings promote efficient fluid exchange and proper drainage throughout processing. Each cassette features a front hinge design and a secure locking mechanism to safely hold specimens during handling and processing. Molded from durable acetal, these cassettes are resistant to the chemical action of most histological solvents.
