The SputEm™ Sputum Collection System is specifically designed for the efficient collection, transport, and processing of biological samples. This system is made from durable polypropylene and is sterilized via gamma radiation to ensure safety and cleanliness.

- Stable Base Design: Broad base for excellent stability, preventing tipping during use or transit.
- Integrated Funnel: Extensive collection funnel directs specimens into the tube without contaminating the outer threads. The tube’s screw cap remains sterile under the snap cap attached to the funnel.
- Patient Label: Pre-affixed patient label for easy transfer to the tube before laboratory transport.
Usage Instructions:
Before Collection:
- Remove the unit from the package.
- Fill in the patient label.
- Lift the hinged lid, avoiding contact with the inside of the funnel.
- Close the lid after each use.
After Collection:
- Remove the snap cap to reveal the tube’s threaded cap.
- Remove the funnel top and invert it over the tube.
- Squeeze the middle section of the collection system and screw the tube into the threaded cap.
- Discard the funnel top.
- Detach the patient label and apply it to the side of the tube.
- Return the tube to its base and prepare for lab transport.
