Description
Histosette® Biopsy Cassettes with a 45° anterior writing angle are identical to Series #491, with the exception of the steeper label surface. The more acute 45° angle improves compatibility with select models of automated cassette labeling instruments, providing enhanced readability and labeling performance.
These disposable cassettes securely hold tissue specimens during embedding, processing, and long-term storage. Molded from durable acetal, they keep specimens safely submerged throughout processing and are resistant to the chemical action of most histological solvents. Precision flow-through slots with 1 mm square openings promote optimal fluid exchange and reliable drainage.
A one-piece, integral lid design eliminates the need for separate steel lids—simply snap apart and lock the lid securely into the cassette base. The unobstructed write-on surface allows clear, convenient specimen identification, while the secure locking mechanism protects samples during handling and processing.
